I am away at the Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. Meanwhile, here is The Birth of the Milky Way, by Rubens.
We call our galaxy the Milky Way because of the Greek Myth that Hera spilled her milk across the sky when breast-feeding Hephaestus.
What a great picture! Just like me at several points today. Reminds me of my surprise at seeing Mary depicted with her breasts out in the breastfeeding grotto church (or something) in Bethlehem. Not what you see in most churches.

I have seen breastfeeding Madonnas, but then I have probably been in more churches than you. I love it, especially as the permanent virgin, “assumed” into Heaven (lifted bodily) and conceived without sin can come to seem not human.
Who needs water-pistols, when you can lactate???

Well it’s plain ridiculous. A god conceived in a virgin would obviously have been bottle fed.

There have been glass bottles since 1500 BC. Rubber comes from the Americas- perhaps leather might do…
