The Hell people

“When is a Christian not a Christian?” asked Sharon Autenreith, about Charles Worley. Her answer is more nuanced than mine. From Charles Wesley, she says,

The world is full of people who seem respectable and religiously observant and who show up at church often enough.  But if they don’t genuinely love God as He revealed Himself in Christ, and if that doesn’t spill over into an active love for others, well, that’s not Christianity.

Initially I demurred, quoting

They drew a circle that kept me out
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout
But Love and I had the wit to win
We drew a circle that took them in!

Then I read Ivar Fjeld. Have a look at the comments. They are not scared to lie:

Statistics show as many as 75% of “gay” men have been prematurely sexually active or abused as a child, usually involving another male (sometimes a female).

Andrea says of gay people,

it’s hard to want and serve the Living Creator when one wants to serve the Satan of the Damned and all his evilness…which with each evil they ‘take pleasure in’ there will be a stronger and more devilish demonic pull to create and get involved in to satisfy that lust that is ever dragging the person(s) down lower to the pit of Hell.

Ivar agrees. He wants to tell me of the Love of God, which I have only if I repent. But, he says, we are in the End Times:

When the moral code of conduct falls in Zionist Israel, the last and final antichrist will have his way. Than there will only be lawlessness on Earth, and the man of Lawlessness will be welcomed.

Revelation gives him a lot of fuel for these thoughts. Chapter 13, for example.

The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.

I have read that church leaders like Gene Robinson are promoting a false religion, and leading people to Hell. Armageddon and the Rapture will follow.

I had wanted to emphasise what we have in common. We believe in God, and in Jesus, and we have the Golden Rule. But I really do not care what these people think. Hell awaits all who do not conform to their narrow beliefs? LOL. God creates seven billion people in order to damn most of them to the Lake of Fire? Worthless rubbish. They are false Christians, better called Hell people, for their emphasis on Damnation.

At one time, I took it seriously. The thought that I would be damned hurt me. Taking communion expressing myself female was a huge step for me. The thought that they would be damned still hurts and oppresses gay people.

I exchanged emails with a Hell person. He told me,

I firmly believe it is satan’s lies that continue to deceive those who live this life style. I also believe that satan has manipulated scientists minds into believing they found the cause of homosexuality. It may seem as though I am giving satan a lot of credit and power and he does have a degree of power, but we must remember that God is in complete control of this universe we live in.

Words fail me.

  1. I had a roommate/land lady who used to watch Pastor Worley when I lived in North Carolina. Needless to say….

The general Christan premise reminds me of Special Forces training: drop them off in the middle of nowhere with everything they need (large knife or bible) and hope they make it back to home base, unscathed.

What Christian “literalists” fail to accept is that environmental destruction and moral decay are a product of over population, not Satan nor Samhain nor Shai-hulud.

I have a mother that thinks Jesus personally gives her all green-light traffic on the way to work. She fails to understand my arguement “then why does your god force everyone else to stop? Are they ALL bad christians or did the devil do it?” Wouldn’t “the devil” just be the wrath of god being an obstinate prick?
No surprise that she lives in Arkansas.

    Great post dear!

    • “All the good people think exactly the same as me”. No. Just no. It is mad, it makes the world a weird, threatening place, it fantasises that most of the population are condemned to eternal torture, it is simply insane.

  2. Sometimes the machinations of the ego, the complexity of its arguments, beg to be short circuited, or by passed. We shall never understand why some people think as they do, nor, I suspect, would we want to.

Why make everything so complicated? Peace comes when we Accept What Is and let go of the rest. We can all do that, one second at a time. Where God and Love are concerned, these days I am wary of complex arguments and curious twists and turns. For love is not complicated in that way. Love only wants to be accepted as it is, and each manifestation simply joins with the millions of other faces and aspects of God out there, to sing praises to love. The rest is just a twot – a total waste of time.

    XXXX 🙂
